Power Generation and Renewable Energy Projects

Over the past few years, Davison Environmental has supported the permitting on a number of power generation and renewable energy projects requiring CT Siting Council approval, including:

  • CSC petition #1224 - 17.61 Megawatt AC Solar Photovoltaic Electric Generating facility, Pomfret
  • Eversource Energy 1779 line project
  • Eversource Energy Frost Bridge to Campville 115kv line project 



Davison Environmental has conducted contractual work for Audubon Connecticut on a variety of projects.  To date we have completed three Important Bird Area Conservation Plans for the following sites:

  • Northwest Park, Windsor

  • Bent of the River Sanctuary, Southbury

  • Greenwich Point Park, Greenwich

The Northwest Park and Bent of the River IBA plans can be viewed or downloaded from the Audubon Connecticut website at: http://ct.audubon.org/important-bird-areas-11.  Davison Environmental has also conducted breeding bird point count surveys for Audubon at a number of sites in Connecticut and Rhode Island. 

From 2009 to 2011, Eric Davison worked in a three year grant funded position for renowned Conservation Biologist Dr. Michael W. Klemens.  Under the not-for-profit Metropolitan Conservation Alliance program founded by Dr. Klemens, Mr. Davison co-authored a number of publications for conservation planning projects.  These included:
